A group of around a dozen friends, we come together on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 9:15pm in Wellington.
Our aim is to create an environment that fosters stillness, silence and attentiveness with brief, very basic guided meditation instructions. A session includes silent sitting and discussion, and people with all levels of experience are welcome, including beginners.
We offer a friendly place to learn to meditate – if it’s your first attempt, let us know so we can help make you feel comfortable. Our practice is founded on simplicity: we sit silently, in stillness, aware of what’s happening at that moment. That’s it. The approach is a secular one, relevant to life in Aotearoa New Zealand today.
So whether you want to learn about meditation or deepen your practice you’d be welcome. A contribution for the following week’s room hire is welcome.
